What could possibly go wrong with stealing the property rights of those who develop vaccines?

So after the vaccines are developed you steal their work and give it to others. How could that go wrong? You may get the vaccines faster this time, but what do you have happen next time when you want a vaccine or a drug developed? Why will they put in the work if it is then stolen?
